Found collar disc...

I found this in an old pair of pants half buried in the dirt where an old barn used to be. Looking back on another thread, I've identified this as a collar disc of some kind, but what do the letters represent and what era is this from?

Just followed a link in another thread, hayes otoupalik, and found a button just like it. USNA enlisted men's collar disc button. Nevermind, I guess that's all I need. Goodbye and farewell.

It would appear to me that the middle "diamond" shape looks very much like the Freemason's symbol. Otherwise, I have no clue. (USAN?, USNA?) TTC

It is definitely a "United States National Army" collar-disc insignia, which was manufactured ONLY during the year 1917. The United States National Army" was equivalent to the British "Service Battalions," and was for a time distinct from the US Regular Army and the US National Guard.
