Found detecting in Tucson today.. Anybody know what this is??????

Not a roundball I'd want in my barrel, not with those corners and such. Does it register as lead or iron?

Interesting. Meteorite have an average specific gravity or around 4.3? I think and are slightly magnetic. Search the many site that can help you ID it if it is one.

It is attracted to the magnet, it Registers as Iron on my detector.. It does not leave a streak on the bottom of the porcelain bath tub.. I gave it a little scrape with my knife and it shows unfinished silver underneath.. How can I tell if this really is a meteorite and does anyone know how much its worth??
