Detector(s) used
Minelab Exp. SE
I found a large 14k gold ring with diamonds in the WET sand about 6 inches down. This was my first time out since I've traded my Explorer II for an Explorer SE. I dug ZERO trash today. In an hour at the beach i found just this. I am VERY pleased to say the least.

Yet again the Minelab has not let me down. Thats a damn good first day out with a new rig.
;D

Great ring "V" Way to Go, Very Nice

Plan on getting it appraised???
Me and the misses were out tonight. I suppose I'll let pops take a look at it tom. OH and I've already been informed that its "found" a new home so I best not sell it LOL. The look on her face when she saw it was priceless. I figure the ring is worth a bit though as it is 14k and those are diamonds.

I'll tell you this. Finding a ring six inches down at the water line made me tingle. I was hoping for a cobb but this was EVEN BETTER. I was of course asked to look for keys as soon as i got there (they were at the lifeguard station). The awesome thing is I didn't expect to be able to hunt there as its a state park. The ranger told me that as long as I hunt below the median high tide line I was good.

There was another guy out there that was hitting most of the same areas as me with one of these.

He didn't find anything that I saw. I did stop and give him the howdy do. He asked a couple Q's about the se and conditions then we parted ways (there can be only one). All the while we spoke his detector was howling whenever mine was within 3 feet of it. That was very interesting.

Beautiful ring GD!! COngrats to you on the awesome find!

Smiles!

v that is a beautiful ring. That ring is worth a few pennys I'm sure. My wife works in a jewelry store and rings like that go anywhere from 850 dollars to 5000 or more depending on the quality of the diamonds. Good luck and let us know how much it was appraised. HH Ted

Beautiful ring! I have had several folks who use Fisher detectors tell me that they can hear my Sea Hunter Mk II in their ear phones, but I never get interference from theirs. Kinda' odd. Monty
