I found these items in Monterey Ca.
1) light weight pinky ring with unknown writing on band
2” brass tube. Contents are magnetic. Looks like lipstick tube. Cap has 6 “G’s
3) top of 2-piece button. Looks like a “W” and 2 “S’s”

Not exactly sure what your question is here my friend. :icon_scratch:
Are you asking if these items date from 1939 -45?

Ring is very similar to a sterling Uncas "Forget Me Not" rings from ~1940s (last picture shows word "sterling"). If so it might also be marked with a U and have an one arrow through the U, or two pointing towards the U.
Button might represent War Savings Service, just a guess, but I don't have any better ideas.

Thank you. I cant' get anywhere on the button or the cylinder. It rang out like brass. the top is not magnetic. But along the side it is slightly. I am wondering it's the contents that is magnetic. As for the ring, just wondering if can be dated. I am trying to bring out the inscription on the inside. So I can verify if does say sterling or has a maker's mark.
