I was shocked that someone tossed this cause its so cool. Made in Italy a crushed marble statue by A. Santini. Thought it was cool because i found it in a pile of junk. What do you think?
Cool find! It is a mini of The Pietà, which is a work of Renaissance sculpture by Michelangelo Buonarroti, housed in St. Peter's Basilica, Vatican City.
Wow ! What a beautiful find ! A replica of the Pieta - some think Michaelangelo's finest work ! With Lent and Easter just weeks off , I think this is a very timely and soul stirring find !
I remember seeing the Pieta at the 1964 World's Fair in NYC........the way you have the statue situated makes it look life-sized and just as beautiful as the real one.
