✅ SOLVED Found metal cylinder/canister today. Can't figure out purpose

Hi everyone,

I found this old metal canister today. It's about 8 inches tall and weighs 3 to 4 pounds. I haven't tried to open it in case the contents are under pressure. Also, it looks like it might have been blue at one point. Someone suggested that it might be part of a utility pole, but I'm not sure.
