Went out on a fast hunt before dinner at the local park. Dug what I thought was a piece of sheet metal, ended up having stamped numbers on it. After a hour of cleaning with WD40 and some light steel wool, it turned up being a ID plate for a 1936 Packard 120 business coupe. I looked up the serial numbers on a Packard website. Where is the rest of the car? It has the guys name who delivered the car Frank J Burks Princeton NJ 6-11-36

I believe that packard museum is in Indiana. Very interesting piece of history

And this is what it would have looked like.........

Neat find!
Depending on how complete old Packard records are, you might be able to track down a previous owner. Would make for a fun conversation.....
