Found my first buffalo

Well I haven’t been active in this thread as much as others but I finally found a buffalo!

First four holes were 4 nickels, I dug a 52, then the buffalo, then two war nickels.



The silver off to the right is from the hunt prior but I forgot to post it.

congrats - I remember my first - it was worn smooth - found it in 1975 age 12
place was hammered by guys using discriminating machines - I was not - think it was the only coin there
but first is always exciting
