It rained real good yesterday so I decided to do a little detecting in my back yard after work today. My first find was a cast iron pan missing the handle. After that came a 1974 penny. Then another penny rang up on my ace 250. I don't mind digging pennies but when I popped a gold ring out of the plug I couldn't believe what I was seeing! It's stamped 10k G.F. SW with the s crossing over the w. I did some research and the g f stands for gold filled. Still a gold ring is a gold ring to me. Anyone know what maker mark SW stands for? Thanks for looking!
