Spied this yesterday while doing some detecting in a field that still had a lot exposed dirt. Unfortunately somewhere along this point's history it was broken, but I'm still very happy with it.

I believe this point to made out of chert.

Native American artifacts are very hard to find in Vermont, so I was super pumped to find this! My friend who I was digging with found this one I believe is quartz in the same area, so there are probably some more around!! Dying to get back and search for more points!

That’s awesome! I’ve never found one but I’ve also never looked!

Congrats :occasion14:

Nice!!! Congrats!!!

I found my first one in 1985. You won't forget the first one. I still have mine. Gary

I would say it is a nice broken tip to a knife from the size of tip, look like you have about 1/4th of the original artifact, if you look you may find more parts of it.

Wow that's super interesting, thank you Treasure_Hunter! I will have to look around for the rest of it.

I detect in an area that had lots of indigenous people activity and have looked for their artifact for years as I metal detect and beach comb, but have still to find one. Yours is a treasure for you!

Congrats VTColonialDigger :icon_thumleft:
We never know what we're going to come across out digging in the dirt!

Nice point. Keep looking and you eventually find some whole ones
