What is this thingy? Its made outa iron and looks handmade or at least the edges hand cut. It has square nails on it. Thanks

Reminds Me of the side of a Hand Made Pocket Knife.

Looks like a hinge (homemade) from a window shutter, one of these would attach to the top and one to the bottom of the shutter and they would rest on pins attached to the wall (the pins would go through the hole at the big end) Just a thought....
