Found Next To old Collapsed Stone Farm House - What is it?

This was found next To old collapsed stone farm house in Lebanon, TN. There is late 1800's barbed wire remnants on the property (brinkerhoff's open face cut barb on flat ribbon).

Any idea what this item is?

How are those cross wires attached to each other or are they? Just curious if you found the both seperately at a site and crossed them for the photo. If attached a close up photo of attaching points would be nice.

I personally can't I.d. it but perhaps some sharpie on here can. With that said I'll make a wild off the wall guess, many years ago a child pet died and the kid or its parent fabricated a cross for the pets grave out of wire. Told you it would be wild.[emoji3]
