Found on beach in rhode island

Found these on a beach I think they are some type of casting but not sure they do not attract magnet and they weigh about the same as a quarter I'd say. Anyone have any input?

copper and are they from a door lock?

I believe so because it looks like a key would go into it I didn't find these together
