I have no idea what this rusty piece could be, its about an 1/8" thick. Any ideas what it could be from? Thank yall in advance.

maybe a heel plate , more pics would be helpful.

I think it might be a lock from a circle saw mill. The circle blades had locks (to hold the bits in place) The bits were the actual cutting tips that are replaceable. Does it hay a recessed grove inside of the curved part?

I cant really tell because it is rusted too bad.

Looks like an old broken horse shoe, they used the square nails.
