Any ideas? It's metal and has a "B" on the side. I thought it was a handle off a gun. The other side is not smooth.

I think what you have is the "toe" of a horseshoe, not a real horseshoe, but one specifically made for the game. Two marked "A" and two marked "B". Here is a photo of one of mine! Happy hunting! Sub
