HI EVERYONE! I FINALLY GOT OUT TODAY TO DO SOME DETECTING FOR A COUPLE OF HOURS.WENT TO A FIELD ABOUT 100 YDS FROM MY HOUSE.I HAD FOUND A COUPLE OF COLONIAL COPPERS THERE IN THE PAST BUT NEVER AMERICAN.THE TWO LARGE CENTS WERE ABOUT 10 YDS FROM EACH OTHER.I STILL CAN'T BELIEVE I MISSED THESE TWO COINS BEFORE.BEEN HITTING THIS AREA FOR ABOUT FOUR YEARS.THE 1795 CAP CENT WAS ABOUT 7 INCHES AND THE 1807 DRAPED BUST ABOUT 4 INCHES.THE SOIL AROUND HERE IS TOUGH ON COPPERS BUT THIS PAIR I WAS PLEASED WITH.THE CAP CENT WAS THE FOUTH ONE I HAVE FOUND IN THIS AREA.AS MOST FROM NJ KNOW THERE IS ALOT OF OLD COPPER HERE TO BE FOUND.
