Found some things today

Today I found a Quartz scraper and what I think is a Quartz knife. I also found some brokes, although the flint ones are really cool for me as all I ever find is Quartz and it is mostly very crude.

The last two broken ones are flint, that is a kinda rare find for me and I really appreciate them even though they are broken.

i like your finds.the last one left to right is cool,i can see them hitting your second find left to right also,in the middle,in between that ridge and getting the same result.they made nice points out of them flakes.and thinned out there blade too.

I think you are right about it being chert, in my area on the coastal plain, right on the fall line, there is only quartz, all chert and flint is exotic. I find some pretty funky quartz pieces and I can only begin to understand the anguish of working with the stuff.

Nice finds, I find lots of crude Quartz pieces here as well, better than finding nothing at all. Thanks for the view.
