Found this yesterday, cast iron, about 4" square. Most likely a kids bank.This mining camp was in operation 1872-1900. Could any one put a approx date on it?

1880s - 1890s I'm thinking ?? That's a heck of a find.

very cool. I've collected antique still banks because they come from an era when the average person had more change than folding money, and having been interested in coins my whole life they just seem to go hand in hand. I'm not finding this one listed in my book, but my book is pretty old. Based on others that are similar, I would date this one to late 1880's. As far as value, personally I'd value it in the 100-150 dollar range.
