Had a good hunt today with birdman and another friend here in Germany. We started around 10 this morning and went 'til 5 or so with everyone making good finds. We hunted an area of fields that would take us years to cover completely. Here's a few pictures of my favorite finds from today with a couple not posted from 2 weeks ago. Starting in the upper left and reading like a book; 10 gram weight for balance scales, depiction of christ from a crucifix, republique francaise button (french uniform from french/prussian war, 1795ish), thimble, 6 regiment button, stamp for wax seal with ABM initials and artwork, plain button, roman fibula, 1803 2 pfennige, lead bull, and a belt buckle(age of which I have no clue). I also included a couple of pictures of the field. Thanks for looking and HH!

Outstanding! I would kill to be able to search an area where a Roman fibula would be a possibility. Lazy Romans...couldn't cross the ocean...

The fibula was actually just laying on the surface, I saw it before I got the signal.
