Got out for a couple of hunts this weekend for about 6 hours total . Hunted a school that dates back to the late 50's . It's been hit hard over the years so I was hoping for at least one silver
. No silver or gold but I did find some keepers
. The first hunt I found two wheat pennies right next to each other both at 7 inches , 1953S and 1956D . Managed to find two rings, both just junkers
. I favorite find was from today
. I had a +93 at 4 inches and out popped a big piece of clad , The King of Clad
. It was a 1973 Ike dollar
. I have found now 12 of them over the past 20 years and this is the first in about 2 years. The hardest clad coin to find
. Total clad found over the two hunts was $15.43 .
