🔎 UNIDENTIFIED Found these in northern vt at a site where I found a French rattail spoon. Hoping they are of the same period.

The thimble and musket ball were the first finds of the day and then the good targets dried up. The conical/shaft item is very heavy and seems to be lead filled. The other two iron items were about a foot apart. The hooked one had me thinking it could be a flint lock when it was in the hole.

One piece reminds me of a clothing or coat hook. There is one that looks like an old key

Fishing weight... and rail support.

If the lead ball is .69" in diameter, it is likely for a British musket. If .65" it could be for a French Charleville musket. If around .50" likely from a muzzleloading rifle. There were a great variety of lead balls made for various guns and these ideas are just a guide to possibilities.
