Found these things in basically the same spot but I am not sure what they are? Any ideas on what they are or how old they are? Found them in the woods east of Houston. Also found square nails an old lock, broken plates and some teeth. The teeth freaked me out there for a bit but my husband quickly identified them as deer teeth. Whew! 20140107_001541-1.webp20140107_001130-1.webp

what they look like to me,

1 Buckle to ?

2 Buckle to Saddle, Purse, or other large item

3 Buckle maybe from Bib overhauls

4 Shoe/boot Heal plate

Will wait for some other more knowledgable members to wake up & confirm or not :tongue3:

I think #3 is a garter clip...roughly 1880's. They're essentially idenditical to Suspender clips, but smaller. They often have marks on them with a maker and patent date.

Those are really nice and would look good together in a little case.

#1 Looks like a handle to a dresser draw there are four holes where the screws/nails mounted.

Yeah, #1 definitely has the appearance of an old drawer pull.....

Never seen a belt buckle with a handle on it before.
Used to drag an unwilling participant to the back room.....?
