Found this coin today....can you identify it?

I know what it is now, but I'm curious to see if anybody else sees it. The obverse is on the left. I'll post an "after electrolysis" picture later.

What is its diameter in MM's?
Lincoln cent?

24mm in diameter when these pictures were taken. The crust was thick! Not a Lincoln cent though
