If it's a 1/2 real, then it's diameter is 16mm and its weight is about 1.69 grams.
If a 1 real, then 20mm and 3.38g.
A few years ago the 1/2 was worth about $8-$18 in VG-F. The one real was worth $10-$20 in VG and Fine.

Hi Don,
its 16mm, real small. It read like a zinc penny on my Explorer. its amazing that such an old coin is worth so little. not that Id be interested in selling it, there must be alot of them out there? Im hoping to pick up some bust or seated from this site as it was occupied for quite some time.
I wonder what a half reale would buy back when it was in circulation? Any idea on that?

Rough guess:
Since 8 reales was equal to one dollar, 1/2 real would be equal to the buying power of 6.5¢ at that time.
