I’ve no idea how old or if it’s gold but I do know I found this in the same spot that we found Henry 7 hammered and a Roman trumpet brooch (snapped)

any help as as to the age of this thing would be appreciated thank you

I don't know about the age but it sure looks like old low karat gold too me.

Cant help on ID, but it is a real nice looking ring.

Thanks guys looks lovely, so lucky it didn't end up in the bin

That thing looks OLD. Great find, glad it never made it to the trash.

A ring so nice, you had to find it twice...

Good catch (again, lol)

I would have that checked by a jeweler. It appears to be quite old and it does look like gold. That might be a treasure in itself and valuable to the right person.

Hard to be sure, but I'm going with late 17th C - early 18th C.

Way back, and still in other countries, you could get 8 and 9 karat gold.
Recently a detectorist had a 9k ring onEbay he found detecting.

glad that you found it the second time, it looks very old and a very collectible item for personal or even a museum

In Europe and in Australia they still make 9K rings. Just not allowed to be sold as solid gold in the USA. 10K is the minimum.

Crusader is probably right and I concur. It is a very nice ring. I'd bet on gold also.
