Was metal detecting in my front yard where I have found many WW2 bullets and other objects. Just found this object but cannot ID it. It is about 1 inch length, not sure if it is silver or other metal? Has 2 holes to left and 1 hole to the right which is weird. Medal? It is marked "NURNBERG" above the crest, I know Nurnberg is a city in Germany. But not sure what this object even is?

City is home to 'the ring', (Nurnbergring) one of the most challenging racetracks in the world.
maybe lost by someone attending the Daytona races.

It reminds me of a Volksmarch shield.

That's the Nurburgring in Nurburg. Different city.
