Found this wierd rock while detecting

Ok so I was at the beach yesterday and a glint of gold caucht my eye. This is what I found. I found it on the shore of Lake Erie in Ohio if that helps. There is alot more gold coloring than the pic shows but thats the best my camera can do. Also posted in the Rock and gems forum.

Are you sure its not an encrusted coin? Looks disk shaped? Maybe a Double Eagle! HH

My detector does not pick it up. So if it is gold it cant be too much gold content. So my guess is not an encrusted coin.
 

pyrite or in the pyrite family
 

Perhaps granite?
