I as well grew up with this manufacture and cannot recall the find.
Maybe marketing piece like a grommet/button canister top etc..,

If a flywheel let go like in that pic i'd need quick legs at the speed of light!!!

Well Ill be. Is it non metallic? I notice its on the positive side of the battery. Great ID.

I guess thats a flywheel from an old hit and miss engine generator. Lights out.

LOL, I was so intent on posting the ID, I the "flywheel" thing never caught my eye...Great advertising back in the day...

It looks as if the whole engine blew up. Was that common for a generator to be on a slanted roof? :D
Huge flywheel.

It says their patented "modern plastic super seal" prevents accidental short circuit so it must not be metal.
