Found this in my wanderings today. Could use some help identifying it and what it may have come off of. I think it may have something to do with steam, possibly a condenser of some sort. It measures 10" X 7" and made of cast iron. Also found a few other items nearby. The spark plug is Cross Country and a tool called a hand saw set, from what I have been able to find on the internet.

Now that is pretty cool looking but I am not familiar with it. Keep wandering around if you happen across things like this

I'm with Scuba. Here's an old Gould pump with a very similar part. It looks like someone sawed off the mounting flange on yours at one time for some reason.

My guess is an accumulator tank of some sort to even out the flow.
