Teotihuacan is considered The City of the Gods or The place where the Gods were born. It is located 50 km northeast of Mexico City.
The temple of Quetzalcoatl and the Pyramids of the Sun and The Moon are among the monuments that are located there.
I have not been able to locate a Coin / Medallion that resembles the one mounted on your buckle.
Congrats on your find

looks like its been laying on some old steel and the rust transferred over to it.

it should polish off. that's all I know, sorry. marion

The image of Teotihuacan is on several Mexican coins, but usually with the date or the denomination--or both--depicted.
Without either, I'd say it's not a coin.
The buckle is quite attractive; great find !
Don.......
