Found Two dollar coins and a 1948 nickle

Always check your change! Didn't need a metal detector to find this 1948 Jefferson nickle. I found it with the change I received from buying a cup of coffee. Also while getting change for the vending machines, I received two Susan B Anthony dollar coins. Enjoy!

So I am not a coin guy by any means so could you explain a 48 nickel? I know war nickels had silver but I thought they were 42-45
