I've about 30 hours on mine, but going out again today. I've been reading Clyde Clynick's books on the Excal and have picked up some mighty good tips on using it, and serious precautions to take - like securing the cables at the coil and headphones to keep them from flexing and failing.

This website has some good tips as well.

Minelab Excalibur II Guide & Settings

My view is that one tip at a time in research adds to your skills!

Very Nice! Go find that gold coin that popped out of that ring.

Sometimes I like disc.1 sensitivity 8ish or as conditions permit,,,, volume full , set threshold to a level yours ears can take, after first null.....will still have slight buzz after good target hit.....

JMO also still learning.......actually just have a total of maybe 100 beach hunts.....land a bit different...
