Happy Friday everyone. This week has been crazy. Between the weather and work and I haven't had time to post last Sunday's hunt. I went to an old permission I haven't been to in awhile. A big part of the property is in the sun and that is why I have left it alone. Well, I bit the bullet and started in that area and sure am glad I did. My best silver day is 4 and a 1/3. After about an hour of hunting, I had 4 silver dimes and plenty of area to break my old record. I got four more quarters and seven more dimes but none of them were silver. So the old silver record still stands. There's always next time.

This is a button I dug a couple weeks ago. I thought I had a Civil War button but it turns out to be Post War. Pettibone Mfg. Co. Cincinnati.

Thanks for looking. SD

Nice job on the silvers and at button is cool I love pulling history out of the ground. Is that civil war ?

Nice bunch of finds SD!

Freakin' awesome job SD! I am all about the silver coins, so seeing 4 in one day would be the deal for me!

The button is awesome too. The second pic appears to show a ring on the shank... someone wore that on a string perhaps.

Check this out... I got that VFW medal too.

Best of luck to you sir!

Thanks Catanza, the button is after the Civil War. The company made a full complete uniform for Civil War Veterans after the war if they wanted to buy one. Union or Confederate, it did not matter.

Thanks CT, you got to love them silvers. The ring in the shank is small. It could have been worn as a necklace or maybe on a key ring in later years. It's so cool you found the same medal. Maybe one day our coils will be swinging on the same ground brother. Take em easy and GL on your hunts.
