Detecting deep in the woods today and found four cents in one hole. Usually nothing to get excited about, but it was a 73 signal and they were 6 or 7 inches down. They were really crusty, but I thought they might be IHC's. Took them home and let them dry out for a few hours. After they dried, I managed to chip off the crud with a toothpick and my suspicion was correct! I found four green and toasted Indians! The dates are 1865, 1879, 1886 and 1887. Not a bad day!

Here's a couple of pics and a short video clip.

Forgot about these two finds. A pair of 4 pound iron wedges that were about a foot apart. It was a real hassle dragging 8 pounds of iron through the woods, but I couldn't leave these boys behind!

Great scores on some old copper and iron. I'd be quite pleased with these two finds.:headbang:

That stone wall was really cool. You just don’t see that where I live.

Congrats on the IHC spill... darn shame he didn’t drop you a silver coin too.

Good luck sir.

Congrats on the iron and tribe of injuns

Sweet finds Free Bird- clad they turned out to be Indians!

Two of those Indians are good dates to find as well. Nice fin is be happy. I'd be happy to get out. I got out once this whole year and it was very early on in the season. I still lurk on the site from time to time

Update! Rained a little last night, so I decided to go back to the same spot today. Checked the hole and got a very weak signal. Yup, I pulled out a fifth Indian, an 1893! It was in the side wall of the hole and very deep. Plus, it's REALLY toasted, so that's why it didn't ring up yesterday. Let it dry a bit and then chipped off the crud. Very rough shape, but still a great find.

Here's a few pics. Hard to see the date, but it's definitely an 1893. I'm never going to beat this coin spill!

Never say never! I got a spill of 9 IHP's and a V nickel three years ago. Nice finds! Odd that you didn't find the last one when you found the first 4. Do you have a good pinpointer? Sorry, I don't do vids here.

Yup, I have the Garrett carrot. Can't explain why it didn't ring up. I think I'm going to have to make the hole bigger and deeper and see what pops up. I'll never rest now that I found another one! I doubt if there's any more, but I need to be sure.

Congratualtions on the old coin shooting! :occasion14:

Awesome IHP spill!!! 5 in one hole is impressive!!

Very cool finds with the tribe and that heavy iron is awesome! You think that they may be tree splitters?

Nice score, Injun spills are a rarity.

Nice going on the IH spill and the the 5th one well. It happens sometimes the copper is just out of range of the pinpointer or just missed. The minelabs don't like air so they'll miss another target in the hole. I used to hit a small parkett and I'd get a copper and a silver dime, check again pre/post filling back the hole. Go back weeks/months later go over same area get signal hole easy to dig because I have dug it before, even though there's no sign of previous plugging and sure enough another copper or silver dime.
