Fred and Ethel went to the state fair every year,and every year the same pilot,flying the same stunt plane was there selling rides.And every year Fred would tell Ethel he wanted to ride that plane,and every year Ethel would tell Fred it cost $30, and 30 dollars is 30 dollars.This went on for a number of years until they were both getting old.One year Fred told Ethel that this may be his last chance to ride that plane,that he may not be here next year.Ethel told him the same thing,it cost $30, and 30 dollars is 30 dollars.Except this time the pilot heard their converstion and approached them.He said,"listen,i will take both of you on a plane ride and you won't owe me a dime,if I don't hear you scream.If I hear any noise whatsoever though,you will have to pay me when I land."They looked at each other and for once they agreed.So the pilot thought he was going to have some fun out of this older couple. He took off and did loops,figure eights and even inverted a couple of times.He hadn't heard so much as a ooh or aah,so he landed. He got out and walked up to Fred and said,"Well you don't owe me anything." Fred said,"I wanted to say something when Ethel fell out,but 30 dollars is 30 dollars." rockhound
