I was in Frejus today, looking at piles of recently excavated dirt. It is JUST AMAZING the amount of pottery and other cultural remains in the soil.
If you would like to learn more about Frejus, this is a great resource.....

After getting home, I started looking at Frejus in Google Earth.
If I could ever hold a TreasureNet hunt in France, Frejus would be VERY high on my list. It was a Roman port with MONEY!
There are two kml files attached... stonewall.kml, and searcharea.kml.... searcharea.kml is where I was today, it's a huge, flat and mowed, open area and would make a GREAT place for our first International hunt! (it's actually a decommissioned airport) Stonewall.kml is simply an area I discovered that looks like an old property line, probably an old stone wall. Look around - make sure you have the "Panoramio" content enabled! Look for this feature, that I will try to visit tomorrow....
Well, I can dream anyway!
I hope you enjoy today's discoveries!
