I found this near the battlefield in Vicksburg Mississippi, where the siege of Vicksburg happened. It's a confederate french triangular bullet, the cavity of the bullet is triangular instead of round. 69 caliber.

Great bullet, I have never even seen this bullet before.
 
It's a bullet from a DRAGOON musket/ rifle.
 
Nice French triangle. I have only ever dug one. They were once very rare till they dug a well in Ga that had a couple thousand is what I was told. Still a rare one to dig in the field. I dug mine in my yard with enfields. Nice save.
