So a friend of mine I’ve known since high school called me up told me he was in town and asked for a favor. He was cleaning out his moms house that they just sold and he needed a couple of garbage tags. NO PROBLEM :)

I got to detect the yard and scored a 1952 class ring from our local high school. I always thought it was be cool to dig an old class ring from one of our local schools, tragically its broken.... :BangHead: i also pried-out-from-the-roots a general service button which ironically is in very nice condition.

Toy fork is cool 😎

Very w!!! Congrats!!!

Not a bad hunt! That ring is cool in as found condition, but could be easily fixed..

That's a beautiful ring find Squirrel, I was going to say it looks to date from the 1940s - 50s.
Then I went back for another look and saw the date of 1952 on the face. :laughing7:

Almost 70 years old... not too shabby.
Dave

What caliber is the ammo? Looks like a .222 Rem. to me. Gary

Unfortunately it’s missing part of the band....

Very nice variety of finds Squirrel.

Not a heartbreaker. Looks like gold to me!

Good going does his mom recognize the ring lol

No, his folks moved here in the 1970’s, so it predates them. I showed it to him and the spot I found it. I think he was kinda of amused to see what was just beneath his feet all those years.

Ring could probably be you friend's dad ring .Check this out with him.

Yeah I showed it to him. Both his parents are to young to have graduated in 52’ and they both grew up out of state. So, there is no connection to his family.

That button looks great! Congrats!

Congrats on the awesome finds! :occasion14:
