We are searchinf for a crash site of a USA aircraft crashed in mountains south Italy 31 july 1944. It transport 19 men to Normandy area. I'm not sure these objects are from aircraft but I will return in the place for more research. If these are fragments from aircraft I will be sure we find correct place.....

Alluminium

Bronze

Here are some other parts from this crash site.

Alluminium

The colour appears to be olive drab

On the other side there is a plastic cover. Some idea?

Some fragments

This appears to be from a cockpit

Here is a cockpit of a Dakota. In the left cloche you can see a part like this we find.

Some idea??? Thanks!

I'd say Yes on the Hunks of Melted Metal.
We found Hundreds (if not thoudsands)
of little pieces like that from
a 1948 Site.

which leads me to believe the other things you
found are also parts
unless it hit something in the area.

Agreed 100 percent men!

I remember an aircraft crash site I detected in the mid 1970's in Southwest Florida.
Lots of small, burned aluminum and plastic parts.
I think you have come very close to the actual crash site, if not exactly on it. :headbang:
I look forward to seeing more finds from this spot, Matteo! :icon_sunny:
