Relic Hunting
Haven't posted in awhile until today but wanted to share these. Had an opportunity with permission to hunt on a property that the Smithsonian excavated. Had huge expectations but one of the farm owners didn't seem happy my friend let me on the property. Only had an hour to search after a 2 hour drive- bummed me out. Hopefully I will get another chance because I saw some of the pieces that came out and I was speechless. Not a Native American pipe but a colonial pipe from the 1700's. Only one arrowhead. That's too bad about only having an hour to search and would really frustrate me since it takes a lot of time, maybe next time will be better. Still the colonial pipe is so very cool and one arrowhead is better than none. Great finds and good luck next time out!

Thanks had such grand plans. When I walked into my friends house she was showing my grade 10 stuff including grooved axes, large drills, large Otter Creeks, and large dove tails.... I was in non stop drool mode.

Good finds, congratulations to your son on his first! I was only eight when my brother in law took me for the first time and I found my first point. I still hunt that same field today, so its a good hobby to enjoy with family.

Nice Finds! You may want to share a better picture of your son's point? ''Put a little more light on the subject.''
