Hi all,

Moved from west coast of California to the middle of the Arizona desert, metal detecting the entire way (literally metal detected at rest stops and camping sites)! In CA I would detect from beach to beach looking for any diamond encrusted rings or anything remotely valuable (nope.) And in Arizona have been detecting around old abandoned mines for gold/silver, and a few ghost towns. While it's been a LOT of fun and gets me out of the house, I'm not finding much except a few wheat pennies and some old bullets. I also occasionally search quarter/half-dollar coin rolls. Oh, and always check the "Coinstar" machines -- amazing what I find there!

I have a Fischer F75, Fischer Gold Bug II, and Fischer pin pointer.

Anyway, just wanted to say "hello" to everyone! Any advice on where to go to detect in southern Arizona would be great!

Welcome from San Jose, CA. While you won't be seeing any beaches anytime soon, I'm sure there are a lot of great things to discover in Arizona!

Welcome from Texas near San Antonio !!

Welcome to Tnet from Toronto RJB. :hello:
Maybe consider talking to some of the locals and ask them where people used to gather for picnics and community events back in the day.

You'd be surprised what folks will tell you when you stop and ask.

Best of luck to you,
Dave
