I would like to add more about the Pennsylvania state parks . About metal detecting . You can call them for a permission letter and some will give you a fax number for you to fax them a letter from you asking permission to metal detect in their park . You have to give them your full name and address were you live at and phone number. Some will fax back a permission letter with rules for metal detecting in their park or they will mail it to you. All parks have their own rules for metal detecting. I gave you some of the basic rules in my first post. Some parks want you to come in and pick up a permission letter or a permit with rules for their park .
