[h=1]No More Sharpies In Your Tootsies[/h] Our federal government is showing us the love, buying us a rotor rooter thing that churns up the sand, bringing broken bottles, needles, and other icky stuff to the surface. Then the stuff is picked up by the rest of the four man team that works all the beaches from Chileno to Migrino, even including Lovers’ beach out at the arch.
The guys work five days a week, from 8 am to 5 pm and pick up an average of 40 sacks of crud a day, about 6 tons. This is accomplished by manual sweeping, mechanical sweeping, and this cool new Zamboni for sand.
