Took these this morning from taking the dogs to run and have fun at our local dog park. I see the male Horned Larks are back on the fence singing away only to pause when the human walking by didn't keep walking and stopped to take his picture. Out side the fence was this Meadow Lark, also singing away under today's supper sunny sky's and paused also for his picture to be taken. Out beyond the wheat field I see the Coyote cruising along looking for something like a tasty Vol under the snow to put in it's stomach. We had wet snow all day yesterday and now I have two muddy mut's that need a wash, especially Bella as she can't stand above the muddy waterline so very well like Ollie can with his long legs.

Don't see many meadow larks around these parts. They nest in the hay fields, and their nests get wiped out.

That's sad. I love to hear em singing in the field around here.
