Front Royal

I've got a chance to hunt a very large section of private land in Front Royal. I don't know much about the history of that specific area so I thought I'd ask. Was there a lot of activity in Front Royal? Is it worth the trip from TX to hunt there? I know the CW was practically all over VA, but I'm more concerned with this one specific area because I've got permission to hunt it. I hope my question isn't too vague. Thanks.

Man it was big parade up and down that whole area throughour the civil war. The Union troops would push south then the Confederate troops would push them back north. Back and forth, back and forth. Many campsites but are hard to find.
