......................House from early 1900's, just messing around in
the front yard.

Pulled up some clad, 4 wheat's, and this medal.

"RARE Catholic Vintage MEDAL Jubilee of Crucifixion 1933

For your consideration is a very special traditional Catholic medal. On the front of the medal, is a raised portrait image of Jesus with the crown of thorns. The medal is rectangular in shape and has a raised frame edge. On the reverse side, it reads "Holy Year of Jubilee 19th Centenary of Crucifixion April 2, 1933 to April 2 1934".

The medal is a nice size, measuring almost 1"H x 5/8"W. It is silver in color, but I do not believe it is sterling." (END OF E-BAY LISTING)

Cleaned it with toothbrush and paste, bit more work
on it and I may just wear it. Don't see many rectangular
ones around. Think it will clean up better.

Plan on going back and have an
invite for stopping by "anytime".

all have a good un.........

that is an awesome find !!! i love those type items.... :o :o ;D ;D

Sherman...that is a nice religious medal. I was sitting here thinking, I have seen one of those before...and lo and behold...I remembered where.

I have a collection of my granddaddy's medals (he was of Catholic faith)...so here is the scan of his that looks like yours. But his does not have writing on the back. I wonder if I can find out how old this one is. No markings or anything. It's gold in color (very tarnished too).
