This is one of my bucket list..the spanish silver..All these places ive hunted this last year have not turned any up...Until today..I suppose people just didn't lose silver? The large cent was like 2 inches down..The silver was like 7inches and came in all broke up..Now to the good part..Or not so good... T he FUGIO says copy on it....Man I wanted t o throw that sucker across the field....lol..Just like cjon455 on Sunday with his perfect king george....I was with treblehunter and a nother guy..His grandson found this huge gold ring...All in all it was a good 2hour hunt for me..
The goodies keep coming....in joy the pics..and HH..
George
Ps..Does any one know were the spanish coin was minted..?? Thanks

WOW Vino... awesome coins. You and you posse have found some the nicest coins lately. Congrats on the exceptional finds.

The ring looks like it has the S&H Green Stamps logo on it... Could that be true?

That was my first thought also, CT! I really think that's what it is..............Nice finds, everyone!!

what a great hunt. a little bit of everything showed up

As much time as Treb spends in the water, guess who I'd bet on winning that one, Chris!
Your starting to scare me, lmao, ha

Too late now, besides you can't commit to a good hunt, too busy working and having your hair done. Perfect opportunity and you threw it out the window twice?

Cool finds. Very interesting you would find a continental dollar stamped copy. I have an older copy that is not stamped and they didn't start stamping them until the hobby protection act was passed in 1973. Curious how a more modern coin would come out of the ground around all the old stuff. Neat find no matter how you look at it and that LC came out of the ground very nice.

Vino I am touched by your generosity and willingness to share hunting spots. Your friends are truly blessed to know you. I've been metal detecting now for a full six months and have come to realize that you will only find good stuff if you're hunting good spots. And good spots are tough to find. You not only find them, you gladly share them with your friends. You're a rare egg and obviously a great guy. Not sure I'm a big believer in Karma but in your case it might be true as you are making wonderful finds. Here is to hoping your next Continental dollar is the real deal!

The place were hunting is a historical site that has reinactments once a year..the also set up stands that sells Wares. .
It was the 3rd copy that was found there..The other 2 were king George's the 2nds...
Thanks for the info of the stamp copy...

Thanks for the kind words...I still get jealous when they find something good instead of me....Lol.....and that would be awesome if I found that dollar...
Thanks again

Beez, this is what makes me a little hesitant about going on a hunt with Vino....I know I could never repay him with a site as good as the one he would share. I'd feel guilty and then owe him forever. That sounds good, right? OK, the real reason is this: I'd be embarrassed by how much better his finds were8-)

I'll just bet that even though you're jealous you're the kind of guy who is happy for the finds your friends make. Nothing wrong with being jealous and salivating at the finds they make at the creampuff sites you painstakingly research and get permission to hunt only to have them pull treasure after treasure right before your eyes while you clean up the place of the re-pop coins. LOL
