I only found modern clad in the 40-minutes I had to hunt. During the hunt there was a 1974 Quarter at about 10", and a 1976 Dime - also down about 10", that convinced me the new 11" x 8" DD coil on this 27-year-old Bandito, is a sensitive depth demon! So glad I jumped on this machine in the classifieds. :skullflag:

Thats a nice machine and it appears that new coil does very well on it as well. Ten inches is really good depth.

I was really confused on Both targets! I thought they would be no more than 4" deep! The quarter was screaming! The dime was repeatable, but soft. I almost missed it without the headphones. I went to All Metal and it chirped loud and clear! :skullflag:

Now thats good stuff there! In the case of the dime thats really exciting when your able too eek out those deep ones that want to "whisper" to you. Very nice. :icon_thumright:

Great job Terry, Like to see older Tesoros shine!! They last:icon_thumright:

Nice
I really want one!!
They do seem to be a cult machine.
Rarely see them for sale in the UK.

I still haven’t played with an original Bandito, but my later ones have the best discrimination circuit out of all my Tesoros. Those originals are supposed to be even better! The BII micromax is a favorite for hitting nickels while still disc’ing out bottlecaps. Banditos are my best trashy spot detectors.

Terry, try it with the concentric coils! ^_^

I have a closet queen Bandido II from the mid 90's and I recently bought the new wide scan coil to try on it for fun. This thread excites me. I cant wait to get out with mine. When hunting civil war , we run all metal and when we get a signal , we check it in disc.

Can you tell me what coil that is that fits the Bandido ? Also want to try the 5 3/4 or what ever it is.
Thanks
