I was very very blessed to find this pewter button, especially at a site that was part of an old dump in Savannah, GA. This 4th Georgia Regiment button is part of local Savannah history, Georgia history, US Continental Army history, and American Revolutionary War history. I consider this a lifetime and undoubtedly the soldier wearing this button was involved in the Siege of Savannah during the War of Independence from Great Britain. Video of the hunt is also linked below.
