GAR Medal and more

Hello all - went back to finish the yard I started Monday where I scored the LC and Seated. That yard was still holding a few. Keepers include a cool GAR Medal that reads Annual Department GAR Encampment. Also found a 1852 Canadian Bank Token - holed, or should I say squared . 2 Barber Dimes (1902, 1908), 2 Mercs (1916, 1943D), 2 V-Nics (1908, 1910), 3 Indians (1897, 1902, 1905) and 12 Wheaties ranging from 1910 to 54D. Couple buckles, pocket knife and old button that reads Warranted Rich Orange. Love them old yards!! Brent

Nice bunch of finds, it looks like the yard you were detecting had alot of activity over the years. The bank tokens were drilled or a nail used I think to carry them on a string as not to loose them. The metal is a nice find. HH

Some Tokens in the UK were cancelled with square nail holes. Might be part of its history other than someone thinking it would look good around their neck.

That's some really neat finds! I dug a GAR medal a few years ago. Mine was shaped like the star and not a heart. really neat find!!!
